In 1991 Michael Wallace realised that there needed to be a concise and fully inclusive book on the Pythagorean System of Number.  

After reading just about everything available, and not finding a single volume that contained the complete teachings of the Pythagoreans regarding Number and Divination, Michael set about recording it himself. In a process extending over 23 years, he drafted and ran a correspondence course, resolved the secrets of Pythagorean Harmonic Healing, the secrets of Dice Divination using Polyhedra, and finally to the Book of Number as a published source book for Numerology.

Michael himself is an enigma, and little known or understood. He rarely makes a public appearance, and only occasionally gives classes. What is certain are the continuing tesitmonials from people who describe the work he has done for them as miraculous. More than just a person who reads a number chart, he is a master musician, master bodywork therapist and healer, and accomplished writer. Yet he also build his own house, fixes his own car, and understands the practical matters of finance, raising a family and paying the mortgage. This is, in simple terms, the Pythagorean Ideal, a person capable in both spitirual and physical realities.

He is based in the Northern Rivers district of Australia.

“At the age of two I would sit at a puddle I have made in backyard, and gaze into it. I would shift to a different space, and there people would come and talk to me about all sorts of things. Science, math, a complete variety of subjects. I am not sure when it happened, but at some point the concept ‘All is Number’ came through, and I saw things as a resonant energy field, all based on frequency and ionic valence.”

Leading on from this early childhood experience, Michael explored many different paths, teachings and esoteric wisdom. His father was an astrologer, and having read the entire two volumes of his ephemeris, the one thing that stood out for him was that so much of the so-called esoteric is really just basic humanity at work. We all share so much that is common! But the story really starts when Michael read his first book on Pythagorean Numerology, Marc Gruner’s “Numbers of Life”.

This led him to start practicing number analysis, and discovering different mathematical combinations that seemed to work even though they were not to be found in any of the books he read. Such things as Trines, and Patterns in the Matrix were simply not in print, and it was not until he met an old Rosicrucian Master that he was shown the 17th century books where these were described. In many ways, it has been an intuitive journey based in logic and math. Paradox is the nature of life.

In 1991 Michael recorded the first chapters in what was to become “The Magic of Numer”. This was a correspondence course that he ran for many years, training people in Pythagorean Numerology. It was complex and fairly weighty to weigh through, and so over the year this became refined into the Book of Number, which is designed both for the person with simple interest int he subject, yet also for those who which to become practitioners.
